Please join us at our Spring 2016 “I Can Cope” Program in collaboration with the American Cancer Society on April 16, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

"I Can Cope" is a structured educational program for adults living with cancer and their families, caregivers, and friends, which is offered in the Spring and Fall annually. This program is free and is facilitated by licensed healthcare professionals. Each class covers specific and relevant topics to aid in the cancer journey of our participants. While we offer an all-day format covering a combination of the following classes, we recognize that some patients may not be able to attend the whole program, so we encourage our participants  to stay as long as they can during the day-long program.

Topics include:

  • Learning About Cancer
  • Understanding Cancer Treatments
  • Communicating Concerns and Feelings
  • Managing the Effects of Illness and Treatment
  • Keeping Well in Mind and Body
  • Nutrition During & After Cancer Treatment
  • Exploring Self-Esteem and Intimacy
  • Taking Charge of Money Matters
  • Mobilizing Resources and Support
  • Relieving Cancer Pain
  • Managing Cancer-Related Fatigue
  • Celebrating Life

To register, please call 954-267-7770.
